Most families have now been added with parents’ email and user as ‘Family’. Go to https://musicdancedrama.com.au/my-account/edit-account/ and to login use your email as the username and click ‘forgot password’ and follow instructions to change to your own password.
The platform needs anyone under 18 to have a parent account. Students under 18 will need a unique email attached to their user.
If you want to use alias’s, most email providers offer “email aliases” which can let you use separate addresses for the same inbox.
• For those with Gmail and Hotmail, I will add your children and you will get an email to change the password.
• Other email addresses, can you set up ‘aliases’ for your children. You may need to speak to your provider.
TO SET UP ALIASES
For example, a husband and wife sharing the email address “smithinspections@gmail.com” could also receive emails at “smithinspections+john@gmail.com” and at “smithinspections+jane@gmail.com”. Below are instructions on how to create aliases with popular email providers.
Gmail and Hotmail
With both Gmail and Hotmail email addresses, there is no need to setup a new email alias. Simply adding a plus sign, ‘+’, followed by any additional text or numbers you want to be identified by, after your existing username, will allow aliased emails to come to your mailbox.
Messages sent to smithinspections+jane@gmail.com will be delivered to the mailbox smithinspections@gmail.com.
Yahoo
Yahoo users may create secondary email addresses that share an inbox by going to Settings -> Accounts, then clicking on your email address followed by Create Address. Simply enter the name you want and click Check Availability, followed by Choose and completing the associated prompts.
Outlook
Outlook users may create up to ten email aliases that share one inbox. To create an Outlook alias, click Your Info -> Manage Your Sign-in Email or Phone Number -> Add Email. Follow the on-screen instructions to setup your new alias.
iCloud
iCloud users are able to create up to three email aliases that share an inbox. To create one, sign-in to iCloud Mail, then click Action -> Preferences -> Accounts -> Add an Alias. Then just enter your desired alias and the other required information. You can also set a label or label color here to distinguish these emails from others.
