Hailing from the country town of Picton NSW, singer/songwriter Missy Lancaster has become a leading fixture in country music since releasing her debut #1 ARIA Country album Piece Of Me via Sony Music in 2018. The album also topped the iTunes country album chart, with the singles ‘Forget,’ ‘Heatwave’ and ‘Never In Love’ topping the country singles charts and achieving millions of streams across the globe.
Missy was the first female country artist to explode on streaming services in Australia. This was due, in part, to her being the first Apple Music Countrywide global feature artist to come out of Australia while also achieving ground-breaking editorial support across Spotify playlists. Missy is a three-time Golden Guitar nominee and CMC Music Awards nominee.
She was most recently nominated for the 2021 awards for her song ‘No Other You’ with ARIA nominee Casey Barnes. Missy is also the co-lead singer of new all-female country band Southbound xo. The band formed just before the pandemic and haven’t been able to play live shows until recently. But that didn’t stop Southbound xo from achieving #1 Australian Country Radio singles with ‘Find Our Way’ and ‘This Is Us,’ along with three other Top 10 hits. That success has seen Southbound xo score major performance opportunities at major festivals across Australia in 2022, including CMC Rocks Queensland, Groundwater Country Music Festival and Savannah In The Round.
Missy is also a co-writer of the Top 10 Southbound xo radio singles ‘Drink’ and ‘Composure’ as well as the US Pop hit ‘Make You Mine,’ featuring Tyron Hapi, Jordie Ireland and Cassadee Pope, which has been streamed over 15 million times! Across her catalogue of recorded solo releases, releases with Southbound xo and contributions as a writer, Missy’s music has already been streamed over 40 million times! Missy has new music the pipeline, both individually and with Southbound xo in 2023, all of which will be released across the globe via her new label, Red Dog Recordings.
