Over five years of professional drumming has seen Andrew play with the likes of Bec Sandridge, Joe Mungovan and, currently, tour with The Vanns, Ruby Tuesdays and rising solo star, Tyne-James Organ. This, in addition to his reputation as a sought-after session player, has seen Andrew play packed-out venues and some Australia’s most buzzed-about festivals across the country such as Falls Festival, Yours & Owls, The Squeeze and, in July 2019, Splendour in the Grass.
His professional experience is backed by a Bachelor of Music, Graduate Diploma and over 10 years of musical teaching at respected establishments including Directions In Music Sydney (2015—2018), Australian Institute of Music (Open courses, Diploma & Bachelor courses) (2016—2018) and guiding various ensembles at WHSPA (2013—2015). He also has been the drums tutor for Southern Stars from 2012—2015 and is excited to be rejoining the Stars team in 2019.
Following his graduation from the Australian Institute of Music in 2016, Andrew was invited to join AIM’s production team, where he expanded his skillset to include operating theatres and studios in his role handling the university’s various shows. Andrew is happiest when he is living and breathing music, and is honoured to be joining lifelong friends in The Vanns for their next adventure.
