As part of your Academy booking;
Free In-person or online 1 hour Music Theory classes Tuesdays 6-7pm hosted by Brett Lucas. All levels welcome. 1st half hour for early levels and 2nd half for more experienced.

Practice Space (Music Students) – feedback from parents is to monitor and have access to resources and communication with teachers regarding progress. Shortly you will receive an invite to register for Practice Space.
- Clear goals and guidance for their practice sessions.
- Fun in-app motivators like practice streaks, practice badges, and more.
- Students can log progress, record themselves, and ask for your feedback!

Change to Make Up Policy
Due to the massive impact during 2023 regarding make up lessons financially and availability, we have reviewed the policy and outline the following;
- Individual Lessons
- 1 make up available per term with a minimum of 24hrs notice.
- If lessons are missed for any other reason, we now have the App Practice Space where students in their own time will be provided with teacher video and written instructions and resources. Students can upload video and message the teacher to provide feedback.
- Partner Lessons
- No make ups are available unless there is another time where there is a vacancy.
- The teacher will use Practice Space where students in their own time will be provided with teacher video and written instructions and resources. Students can upload video and message the teacher to provide feedback.
- Group Lessons
- No make ups available unless there is another class available.
- All instructions, uploads and materials will be available in your web login.
New Academy Online Community Platform
Go to our website, login or register. You can then set up your own profile and access other groups. We will also add a theory group where students will be able to access free resources to support their learning @The Academy.

More Drama for 2024
Tuesdays
- 3:30 – 4:20 – Script Writing ages 8+ Aimed at young people (8+) Scriptwriting involves considering their interests, comprehension levels, and the unique issues they face. Drama scripts can be a powerful medium for exploring topics relevant to youth, such as identity, friendship, family dynamics, and social issues
- 4:30 – 5:50 – Film Making ages 8+ Creating a filmmaking guide can be a fantastic way to introduce them to the world of storytelling, creativity, and technical skills involved in making a film.
- 6:00 – 7:20 – Movement Welcome to Dynamic Movement Mastery, a class designed specifically for young people to engage their bodies and minds through a series of movement-based activities. This class aims to enhance physical fitness, coordination, and mental acuity while fostering a fun and supportive environment. This program caters to all levels of ability, encouraging participants to challenge themselves and celebrate their progress.
Thursdays
- 3:30 – 4:20 – General Acting ages 5-9 General drama classes for children aged 5-9 introduce young participants to the world of acting and performance in an engaging, supportive, and age-appropriate manner. At this developmental stage, the focus is typically on nurturing creativity, imagination, self-expression, and basic theatrical skills through playful and educational activities.
- 4:30 – 5:20 – Improvisation ages 10+ Improvisation, or improv, drama classes can be an exciting and dynamic way to introduce young people to the world of acting and creative expression. At this age, children are typically energetic, imaginative, and willing to take risks, which are great qualities for improv.
- 5:30 – 6:20 – Performance Class ages 10+ Performance drama classes are designed to extend children to the world of acting, storytelling, and theatre. These classes often focus on developing a range of performance skills, fostering creativity, and building confidence.
- 6:30 – 7:20 – High School Year level 7+ Drama classes for high school students cultivate creativity, improve communication skills, and build confidence in students.

A 10-week 1 hour young innovator course for upper primary (8+) and secondary The program is designed to foster creativity, critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and entrepreneurship among young individuals. The course aims to inspire and empower participants to become innovative thinkers and makers, equipping them with the tools and mindset necessary to identify opportunities, develop innovative solutions, and bring their ideas to life.
